Mixtape Review: XV

This artist has emerged on the scene with his solo mix tape "Everybody's Nobody". All 18 tracks paint the picture of his way up in the industry. He explains everything from the haters he encountered to what his name means (I'm still unsure about that one). All in all, the mix tape was entertaining. His tone is playful for lack of a better word, and to put it simply he seems to enjoy what he's doing. He has a unique voice that is vaguely reminiscent of Q-tip from a tribe called quest.

On a more serious note, his track titled "in the rabbit hole" is one that expresses the sad and just downright depressing parts of becoming apart of the music industry. XV definitely has a way with words and a bunch of potential. I want to see what he has in store next. This mix tape produced a solid sound which I threw on my ipod immediately. Every track is something worth listening too.

Top 5 Tracks:

1. Everybodys Nobody

2. Gobstopper ft. Wiz Khalifa

3. Mirrors Edge

4. The Rabbit Hole

5. Vizzy Vizzy
